Boeing will not pursue federal aid after raising a remarkable $25 billion in a bond offering, the company said.

The company says it was the biggest debt sale ever, coming as Boeing a longterm downward trend in air travel as a result of coronavirus.

“As a result of the response, and pending the closure of this transaction expected Monday, May 4, we do not plan to seek additional funding through the capital markets or the U.S. government options at this time,” the company said in a statement.

Boeing pursued $60 billion in federal aid for itself and its supply chain, including General Electric and Spirit Aerosystems.
